Transit has completed the installation of a turnstile access control system, designed to manage entry efficiently while keeping pedestrian flow smooth. The system is integrated with the site's access control infrastructure and is built for secure authorisation, reliable operation and consistent performance in high-traffic environments.
Turnstiles are often the first physical checkpoint people meet when they enter a building. Unlike an open doorway, a turnstile allows only one authorised person through at a time, which makes it one of the most effective ways to stop tailgating in lobbies, offices, factories, stadiums and transport hubs.
When a turnstile is connected to an access control system, every passage can be checked against a credential such as a card, PIN, mobile credential or biometric reader. Access rights can be set by time, zone or user group, and every entry is logged for reporting.
For this project, our team focused on:
A successful turnstile installation depends on more than the hardware. Lane count, peak-hour traffic, accessibility lanes for wheelchairs and deliveries, fire alarm release, and integration with visitor management all need to be considered at the design stage.
As a system integrator, Transit does not manufacture turnstiles. We select suitable products from leading brands and integrate them with your access control, CCTV and building systems. Learn more about our turnstile access control systems, or see another of our turnstile projects.
