The AXIS Q37 series was Axis's multi-sensor panoramic dome range. Models such as the Q3708-PVE used three sensors to give a stitched 180-degree view at up to 15 MP from one camera, in an IP66 and IK10 rated housing. Axis has since discontinued the Q3708-PVE and the related Q3709-PVE, and it names the AXIS Q4809-PVE as the replacement. The newer camera uses four sensors for a 180-degree panoramic view.
Panoramic cameras like these are used to watch large open areas from one mounting point: car parks, building corners, plazas, warehouse yards and school grounds. That can mean fewer poles and less cabling than with several fixed cameras. If you have Q37 cameras on site, Transit can support the existing units and advise on replacing them with current models that keep your mounting points. For new projects, we design around the current panoramic range and connect the cameras to your VMS. See our CCTV systems and outdoor surveillance pages, or the Axis panoramic cameras range. Contact Transit about availability and current models.
