DeepinMind is Hikvision's line of NVRs with built-in deep-learning analytics. The analysis runs in the recorder, so it works even with standard cameras that have no AI of their own. Models such as the iDS-7700NXI series offer face capture and face comparison against stored libraries. They raise alarms for listed or unknown faces, and they offer perimeter protection that classifies humans and vehicles, filtering out animals, leaves and shadows. The number of analytics channels depends on the model, typically from four to sixteen.
Edge analytics like this suit sites that want smart alerts without a separate analytics server. Examples are retail stores, banks, schools, office receptions and warehouses with long fence lines.
