Hikvision's I Series AcuSense(E) NVRs are 4-bay recorders for mid-sized projects. They add human and vehicle detection to cameras that don't have it. The DS-7716NXI-I4/S(E) records 16 IP cameras and the DS-7732NXI-I4/S(E) handles 32. Hikvision lists human and vehicle filtering of motion alarms across every channel, plus perimeter protection rules on a number of channels. Four SATA bays give room for long retention periods.
Because the recorder does the analysis, a site with older or mixed cameras can still get fewer false alarms and search recordings for people or vehicles. It is a good match for offices, schools, hotels, retail chains, warehouses and residential buildings with 10 to 30 cameras. Transit calculates storage from the camera count, resolution and retention period, and sets the RAID or hard drive layout.
