Hikvision power adaptors supply the correct voltage and current for cameras, recorders and accessories that are not powered over Ethernet. That includes many PTZs, cameras with heaters or strong IR, intercoms and access devices. A cheap or undersized supply is a common cause of faults that are hard to trace. Cameras may reboot at night when the IR switches on, show interference lines, or fail early in summer heat.
Transit plans the power for every device at the design stage. Depending on the site, that might be PoE from the network switch, local adaptors, or centralised power supplies with battery backup and fused outputs. We check the voltage drop on long cable runs and allow headroom for IR and heaters. Where uptime matters, we put recorders, switches and critical power supplies on a UPS, so the system keeps recording during short power cuts and restarts cleanly. See our CCTV systems and UPS systems pages, or the wider Hikvision range. Tell us what devices need powering and Transit will recommend the right supplies and a price.
