TandemVu PTZ cameras put two cameras in one unit: a fixed wide-angle camera for the whole scene and a PTZ for close-up detail. Operators never lose the overview while zooming in. The DS-2SE4C425MWG-E, for example, pairs a 4 MP ColorVu panoramic camera with a 4 MP PTZ with 25x optical zoom. Hikvision's smart linkage lets the PTZ follow targets that the wide camera detects automatically. Other models offer 15x or 32x zoom.
With a normal PTZ, anything outside the zoomed view is missed while the camera is pointed elsewhere. TandemVu fixes that, which is useful at car parks, building perimeters, gates, ports, logistics yards and city streets, and on large sites watched from a control room.
