Hikvision security thermal cameras detect people and vehicles by their heat. That means they keep working in complete darkness, in glare, and through light smoke and dust. Most models in the range are bi-spectrum: a thermal sensor and a visible-light camera in one housing, so the operator gets reliable detection plus a normal image for identification. Hikvision's HeatPro and newer models use deep learning to classify humans and vehicles, which cuts false alarms from animals and moving vegetation. Many also offer temperature alarms and fire and smoke detection.
These cameras suit perimeter fences of industrial plants, utilities, oil and gas sites, solar farms, warehouses and large villas.
