Samsung designed the WAC series with classrooms in mind. It comes in 65, 75 and 86-inch 4K sizes and runs Android 11, so teachers can open apps and files on the board itself without a PC. Samsung lists 400 nits of brightness and infrared touch with up to 40 touch points, so several students can write at the same time with the supplied passive pens. There is a front USB-C port for laptops, three HDMI inputs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and an OPS slot for an optional slot-in Windows PC.
The same board works well in training rooms and huddle spaces, where people want to sketch, annotate and share without fiddling with cables. When we install these, Transit plans the mounting height for the users (young pupils need it lower). We use a wall mount or a mobile stand, set up screen sharing and connect the board to the school or office network. We can also train staff on the board. See our interactive boards for classrooms page or the Samsung interactive display range. Contact Transit and we will check availability and send a quote.
