The IE series (IER) is part of Samsung's indoor SMART LED Signage range. It is aimed at large indoor screens viewed from a moderate distance. Samsung lists the IE025R with a 2.5 mm pixel pitch and the IE040R at 4.0 mm. Both use 960 x 540 mm cabinets that combine into walls of almost any size. The 16:9 cabinet shape makes it straightforward to build standard Full HD or 4K layouts.
With these pitches, the IE suits shopping centre atriums, exhibition halls, auditorium stages, hotel ballrooms and retail feature walls, where most viewers are several metres away. Close-up meeting rooms are usually better served by a finer pitch. Transit helps choose the pitch and size from the viewing distance and budget.
