Khalifa Port, strategically located halfway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, The deep-water port is the first semi-automated container port in the GCC region. It serves over 25 shipping lines, offers direct links to 70 international destinations, and boasts an intermodal transport network facilitating efficient transportation and logistics across sea, road and air. Transit implemented Gate Barrier System which is the perfect solution for controlling access to the Port. The control system offered a wide range of functions and supplementary expansion potentials through the use of plug-in modules. The barriers principally impressed the client through their high level of functionality and their well-thought-out, robust construction. They offer trouble-free operation and simple maintenance – and thus a service life of up to 10 million cycles.
