Hikvision's view assist systems help drivers of large vehicles see what they would otherwise miss. The key part is blind spot detection (BSD) for trucks and buses. A side camera such as the AE-VC224T-IT watches the nearside blind spot, and AI detects pedestrians and cyclists. The driver is warned through an in-cab monitor and an audible alarm. Some recorders, such as the AE-MH0804(M12) MDVR, include right-side BSD processing. The AE-DC2928-N6 E-Mirror replaces the mirror view with a screen for front and rear views and helps when reversing.
