IW is the model code for Samsung's The Wall, its MicroLED display. Each pixel is a microscopic LED mounted directly on the module, so the picture has deep blacks and no visible seams. The IWA range offers 0.84, 1.26 and 1.68 mm pitches. The IWB goes finer, to about 0.63 mm (IW006B) and 0.95 mm (IW009B), which suits rooms where people sit close to the screen.
The Wall is chosen for executive boardrooms, control rooms, corporate briefing centres, luxury showrooms and high-end private cinemas. In these spaces, a projector would wash out and an LCD wall would show bezel lines. Because it is modular, the size and aspect ratio can match the room, not the other way round. Transit designs the structure, power and cooling and works out the signal processing. We also integrate the display with room control and conferencing, and commission and maintain it.
