The Wall is Samsung's MicroLED display. Microscopic LEDs are mounted directly on the module, so it has no backlight and no visible seams. You can build a screen of almost any size from modules. The IWA range offers pixel pitches of 0.84, 1.26 and 1.68 mm. The IWB range goes finer, to about 0.63 and 0.95 mm, which makes it suitable for rooms where viewers sit only a few metres away. Samsung also sells The Wall All-in-One in fixed 110-inch and 146-inch sizes, with the controller and speakers built in.
Common uses include executive boardrooms, control rooms, corporate lobbies, luxury retail and high-end home cinemas. These are places where a projector would wash out and an LCD video wall would show bezel lines. Transit works out the size, structure, power, signal processing and room control.
