A plant in the UAE needed one dependable daily record of its energy (MMBTU) and gas volume (MMSCF) readings. The meters already published their values over OPC UA, but the reports and dashboards had nothing complete and correctly dated to rely on.
Transit, as system integrator, delivered the hardware, integration and commissioning. The software was developed by our software integration partner Abaci to Transit's requirements.
Key points of the project:
- Scheduled collection through the day, with gaps filled from a backup plant server
- A day is only stored once every active meter has a real value, so dashboards never see a half-written day
- Every row carries its UAE business date, so daily and monthly totals land in the right period
- A local console for connection settings, certificates, usage charts and CSV reports
- A clear history of every successful, skipped or failed run
The data lands in PostgreSQL, ready for the dashboards another team builds in Snowflake.
